About Our Company Name

There's a story behind the company name.

"Neko" is the Japanese Kanji symbol for "cat"and is a tribute to Frank & Kat's Mom and her "Lucky Neko" cat statues.

The "Lucky Neko" cat is one of the most famous lucky charms in Japan, designed to attract business and promote prosperity. The "Lucky Neko" sits with its paw raised and bent. The left paw beckons new customers to a business, while the right paw brings good fortune or money.

It's a New Year with a New Venue!

Neko-Productions is still with you! Frank and Kat are excited about presenting shows in a fantastic venue in Milford, CT.   Here's a sneak peek at the venue.

We can seat many more people in this venue than we could at our former venue and present shows that could not fit on the stage at Daniel Street.   We can also present opening acts comfortably because we have more room on the stage which makes Frank very happy because he is the Production Manager and has to manage the stage and the sound. This is a wonderful development for us because it opens up so many possibilities for our show planning.

We'll be featuring VIP lounge style seating with comfy leather sofas, a Cabaret section with tables and the transformation of our traditional General Admission seat to an assigned seat number.   The General Admission section is still Theatre style seating without a table but we pledge to keep the seat price affordable.  As always, if tickets are available on the day of the show, there will be a higher price for the Theatre seating.  Early ticket buyers should always receive discounts and the best available seats to increase their value and interest in the show.

These changes will make your concert experience better than ever - which makes Kat happy because she is the Operations Manager and always looking out for your comfort so that you enjoy the show.

Here's a view from the stage where you can see the VIP lounges - we're planning on 8 of these in various parts of the room.  For some shows, these lounges will be up on the stage so your friends and family can have an even more extraordinary concert experience.

The first shows will have a cash bar in the back of the room  behind the partition and as we gain experience with the audience  and the venue,  there will be a catered menu of snacks and desserts from our caterer.

We will be announcing the name and address of the venue on February 10th, with our ticket pricing.  Everyone on the mailing list will have a 10% discount on seats until General Public sale on  February 20th.    Kat has made arrangements for no ticket surcharges if you use a charge card and print your tickets on your computer.   If you prefer to pay by check and have your tickets mailed, there will be small charge for your order.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be working with Nick Galgano and Adam Galgano of Sound Idea for our concert sound.    Sound Idea provided perfect audio for a local private party that Frank and Kat produced which featured Russ Freeman & The Rippingtons  in November of 2011.  For those who wondered,  that's why we were so busy last  November, we hosted Acoustic Alchemy AND The Rippingtons in the same week!

You've told us that you love the artists we feature and the unique style of every show.  Frank and Kat are committed to our local area and know that you will be very happy with these changes.

Neko-Productions is grateful for all the support that you have given us during our first 2 years of concerts.  We know your names and we see you at all of our shows - and  how you care about our shows, our company and us.  We consider you to be our strongest reason to keep going and presenting.  We are committed to 8 more productions in 2011, including a July wine and jazz event.  It's going to be a fantastic year for all of us!

We look forward to more shows, more music, more memories and more pictures.

About Marc Antoine

Guitarist, composer and producer, Marc Antoine, was born in Paris (France) on the 28th of May 1963. His parents bought him his first guitar when he was 11 years old which quickly became his third arm. Marc has had a guitar in his hands ever since.

In 1988 he moved to London where he joined Basia's band and worked with The Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra, Soul to Soul, Pato Banton, and General Public. He was also part of the London Acid Jazz scene. His world tour travelling lead him to spend time in Tokyo where he became an acclaimed session player.

As a true citizen of the world, Marc kept moving, this time to Los Angeles in the late 90's. He stayed there for 12 years playing for music royalty such as Sting, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Cher, Selena, Queen Latifah, George Benson, Guru Jazzmatazz, Take 6 and others. He composed and performed for major movie soundtracks: "Get Shorty"; "The Fan"; "Patch Adams"; "Midnight In The Garden Of Good and Evil"; "Demolition Man"; and "Celtic Pride".
